We have had such a wonderful first year and this could not have been done without the hard work and perseverance of the kids and the parents. Those who started this team came from schools that had speech and debate teams and we were surprised, to say in the least, that our new school didn't. So we took it upon ourselves to create one because speech and debate isn't just some school activity we do to "put on college applications", but rather something we all truly love and enjoy. All of the kids on our team have worked especially hard just so that our team could simply compete. Our success in the first year shows that we have so much potential and every bit of support helps us in getting there.
